There is no where for the poor and needy to turn... I know stories like this are posted all the time, but I am at the end of my rope. I am a 42 year old widow with a heart defect, 2 children under 18 and no insurance, I am in dire need of dental service so I can smile, possibly work and chew again. My back teeth are gone (possibly partials?). Of the front teeth most need some form of work ranging from filling to one that needs replacement. I have always made sure my children had everything, including good dental care, all the while putting off dental and medical care for myself. I would do anything to be able to get this work done. I literally cannot even look in the mirror without crying and I am in constant pain. I could pay in small installments but cannot get financing. My husband took out 3 credit cards in my name and defaulted on them. I did not find this out until after he passed away and I tried to get financing to have him cremated. I was refused. After years of an abusive marriage I thought I could finally make a life for myself and my children. I was wrong. Because of my teeth even jobs I could do with my heart defect I cannot get hired for. My only income is SS Survivor's benefits. I have been to the county health department and they will only extract teeth. Having this work done would literally change my whole life and allow me to work and support my children. Any help you could provide would be an incredible assistance. Please help! Because of my heart defect and fibromyalgia I am essentially disabled, but FL is not accepting any further applications for Donated Dental Services so please, do you know anywhere to turn to? What do I do now when the very program meant to help me turns me away? UFL has told me there is a 3 year wait for an appointment and even if I COULD wait 3 years I doubt I would ever be able to come up with that amount of money at one time. I have been down every avenue that I and others can think of. Please PLEASE if there is any way at all anyone could help? I would do anything, answer phones, clean office or home for free for as long as needed and be forever grateful.
